WhatsApp is testing usernames + 4-digit keys, and Nigeria is on the list. Here’s what it means for YOU:

👉 What’s a Username?

Instead of giving out 080... you’ll just say “Message me @scconcept”. No phone number needed. Your number stays private.

👉 What’s the 4-Digit Key?

It’s like a gate pass. You can turn it ON so only people with your key can message you. 

Example: You set key 4821. Person types @scconcept → WhatsApp asks for key → They enter 4821 → Chat opens.

You can also turn it OFF so anyone can message you with just @username.

👉 If You Use Normal WhatsApp:

1. You’ll pick a unique @username soon.

2. You can set a key if you want privacy. No key = anyone can message you.

3. Your old chats won’t change. Your number still works too.

👉 If You Use WhatsApp Business:

1. Same username + key system applies.

2. Perfect for Selar/Jumia vendors: Put @yourbusiness on your page. Customers chat you without seeing your personal number.

3. You choose: Key ON for serious buyers only, or Key OFF for easy customer access.

✅ Quick Tips for Nigerians:

1. Pick your @username early — once it launches, good names will finish fast.

2. For business: Use key OFF so customers don’t get stuck.
